These terms cover how the forum runs, what members can expect from us, and where the limits sit. They apply to every board, thread and reply on BeBrave Art Space, from the beginner questions to the studio diary entries.
BeBrave Art Space is a discussion space for drawing, painting, printmaking and studio practice. Threads exist for daily sketch habits, life drawing sessions, materials questions, critique and plein air meetups. It is not a marketplace, a gallery representation service or a place to sell finished work at scale. Offcuts and spare materials may be traded between members, but any arrangement made that way is between those members alone.
You keep the rights to everything you post. By publishing an image or a written entry you give us permission to display it on the forum and in related pages such as the guide center. You are responsible for making sure the work is yours to share, that life drawing references were made with the model's consent, and that photographs of other people's studios or work are posted with their agreement. Accounts used to harass, impersonate or spam other members may be closed without notice.
The critique section has its own posting rules, and they are enforced. Feedback should address the work in front of you: composition, value, edge quality, drying problems, print registration. Comments about a member's ability, background or reasons for making things are removed. Beginners asking basic questions are protected here. If a thread turns into a pile-on, moderators will lock it and explain why in the thread itself.
Advice shared on the forum comes from working artists, not from us. Recipes for gesso, sizing, solvents and grounds are offered as personal experience and may not suit your materials or your climate. We do not verify claims about paper weights, pigment lightfastness or exhibition pricing, and we are not liable for damage to work, materials or equipment that follows from trying something described in a thread. Meetups organised by members, including Saturday plein air sessions, are arranged independently and are not supervised by BeBrave Art Space.
You can stop using the forum at any time and ask for your account to be removed. When an account closes, your posts may remain visible where other threads depend on them for context, unless you ask us to delete them and no ongoing discussion would be broken by doing so. We may suspend or end access for accounts that repeatedly break the conduct rules, post unlawful material, or attempt to scrape member contact details.
These terms will be updated as the forum grows, most often when a new board or a new posting rule is added. Material changes are announced in the forum before they take effect, with the date of the revision noted at the top of this page. Continuing to post after a change means you accept the updated version.
